Pricing & Platform FAQ

How is Pier Cloud priced?

We offer a Flat Fee licensing model — meaning your monthly price won’t change during your contract.
Your license value is calculated based on your total cloud and SaaS spend onboarded into the platform. We do not include Marketplace costs or Enterprise Discount Programs (EDP) in this calculation.
Our partners may offer different licensing models, including more aggressive pricing structures. In some cases, partners can even subsidize 100% of the platform licensing fee.

Is there a minimum cloud spend required?

No. However, for organizations with less than $3,000,000 in annual cloud spend, Pier Cloud is only available through authorized partners or cloud marketplaces.

What’s included in the onboarding process?

Every client contracted directly with Pier Cloud (invoiced by Pier or via Marketplace without a CPPO) goes through our First 100 Days Program — a structured onboarding experience designed to deliver measurable impact, not just implementation.
In the first 100 days, we focus on:

Full platform activation across teams (FinOps, finance, engineering, etc.)
Delivery of quantified results and a marketing-ready success story
Strategic roadmap co-created with your team for the next 9 months
We also include training, enablement, governance setup, and at least one executive session to ensure buy-in.

Note: For clients onboarded via a certified partner (CPPO), the partner may follow their own onboarding methodology — always aligned with Pier Cloud standards.

Do I get technical support during onboarding?

Absolutely. For the first 3 months, you’ll have a dedicated implementation team ensuring full activation of the platform.

Can I choose specific modules instead of the full platform?

Yes — Pier is modular. You can start with the features that make the most sense for your journey and expand as needed.

Can I customize the platform for my business structure?

Yes. Pier Cloud is built with two layers of usability:

Plug and play — out of the box, the platform delivers immediate visibility and actionable insights with no setup required.
Full customization — you can adapt tagging logic, business mappings, chargeback models, KPIs, and governance rules to match your exact org structure.

What if my team isn’t very advanced in FinOps?

Is Pier Cloud a visualization tool or a full FinOps platform?

Pier is not a dashboarding tool. It’s a complete, end-to-end FinOps platform — from cost allocation and automation to forecasting and strategic reporting.
